Rising to numerous challenges posed by the pandemic, IDRISSI School is proud to announce its excellent passing rate of 92% in the 2021’s IGCSE Examination. 21% of the students achieved 7 or more A*/A, which secured them outstanding results. Unlike last year when IGCSE was evidence-based, students of this batch managed to sit for the exam.
IDRISSI bagged high percentages of A*/A in two of the toughest IGCSE subjects such as Add Math (86%) and English (88%) as First Language. Putting its pride in the national language, they recorded a whopping 100% of A*/A in Malay. 9 of the subjects namely Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Art and Literature achieved 100% credit and above.
Before the exam, the school displayed its highest dedication to make sure that students could sit for the exams in the safest way possible. All test-takers, teachers and invigilators who were involved in the IGCSE were required to take a swab test for COVID-19 at school itself for safety measures and ensuring transparency to all in order to avoid major concerns.
Starting off the term with the thought that the end of lockdown is in sight, there were a few times that the school had to re-open and close following the MCO regulations. Fortunately, with the students’ efforts, determination and teachers’ competence in online teaching and learning, the situation was not all doom and gloom.
“These two years have been rough but our students have proved us beyond! Thank you to our dedicated team of teachers, and also parents who endlessly and patiently worked together for the best of the students. Your hard work and dedication definitely paid off. We are very proud of you,” said Julie Wong, the Principal of IDRISSI School.
Having been able to score such achievements when the world works in a vicious cycle, it is evident that the students, parents and teachers were all on the same wavelength. Each of them has indeed played their very own role in leading the school up the path of excellence and remain resilient.
