Here at IDRISSI International School Johor Bahru, we give students the space to wonder and guidance to turn curiosity into growth. We bring together Cambridge International Curriculum, eco-conscious thinking and Islamic values to shape a school experience that extends beyond the classroom.
Our boarding facilities complement this experience, giving students opportunities to develop independence and build friendships within a supportive community.
From our diverse community to our hands-on approach, every part of the learning journey helps shape our students into individuals with knowledge, character and confidence.
Our Cambridge-based education builds strong academic foundations while developing skills like critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving.
From caring for plants and animals to practising sustainable habits, students learn to appreciate nature and care for the environment.
Through Quranic learning, Islamic Studies and daily experiences, students develop a strong foundation in faith and good character.
By bringing a variety of cultural backgrounds and areas of expertise, our educators inspire students to see the world through different lenses.
Students of different nationalities build friendships, share perspectives, appreciate diverse cultures and succeed together.
Our boarding facilities provide a safe, comfortable and supportive environment where students can develop independence and grow through everyday experiences.
Every stage of learning is a step towards a brighter future. From the early years of discovery to the academic milestones of IGCSE, we nurture our children to become future-ready leaders.
Children are naturally curious, and we let them be. We give them the space to play and discover safely with their hands, eyes, nose and ears through nature and creative activities. Because the best discoveries are the ones they make themselves.
These are the years where children start to find their voice. Cambridge Primary prepares students with strong foundations in English, Mathematics and Science, wrapped in Eco Islamic values that build both knowledge and character.
These are the years where potential starts to take shape. Lower Secondary at IDRISSI is where students broaden their subject range, deepen their analytical skills and begin to find their academic strengths.
The best results come from preparation, du’a and the right support. Cambridge IGCSE is the gold standard of secondary education, accepted by top universities globally. Students are supported by expert educators and a structured exam preparation programme.
“The teachers have been very helpful and have gone all out to support my children. My children were actually introverted during their early school years, but they have become more open to asking questions since joining IDRISSI.”

“The teachers went out of their way to teach us. They even came in on weekends to help us, and that is something I will always remember.”
Siti Nur Syafiah Binte Azman

“IDRISSI taught me to keep working harder because the teachers put so much effort into helping us keep going, and I don’t want that effort to go to waste.”

Imagine a world where the young generation is not only academically brilliant but also emotionally intelligent, practising virtuous traits such as kindness, compassion, respect and empathy. Value Education Programme, or known as VEP is a character-building programme that emphasises on social-emotional learning skills, where students learn to create meaningful connections with everyone around them. Good values are instilled in a variety of activities for the students to be involved in such as the Cookout to share recipes among friends, Charity Bake Sale to raise funds for the needy, visits to Charity Homes and many more.

IDRISSI International School is the first international school in Malaysia to implement STEM with Robotics Curriculum. The curriculum is accredited and certified by Global STEM Alliance (GSA) and International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA). Through hands-on and creative learning, students explore engineering concepts, design, coding, and problem-solving using STEM-friendly robots. Rather than learning in theory alone, students are challenged to develop robots that solve real, everyday problems which helps foster their interest in subjects like Mathematics, Coding, Engineering, Science and Technology, all of which lead to innovation.
The JASS Programme is an internationally recognised, accredited progressive learning programme offered to students aged 10–14, designed to develop well-rounded character and a sense of purpose beyond the classroom. It gives our students an edge over the rest in their education portfolio. Fully aligned with current educational thinking and IDRISSI’s outdoor learning strategy, the programme recognises growth across four key areas:
FLiP is IDRISSI’s Financial Literacy Programme, developed in partnership with MoneyTree Asia Pacific, one of the region’s leading financial education providers. Unlike most Malaysian schools that offer financial literacy as an elective, we teach it as a core part of our curriculum. Our teachers are trained and certified by MoneyTree, equipping students with real money skills, which include budgeting, saving, understanding debt, investing and the importance of giving. We believe that a child who understands money grows into an adult who is responsible, generous, and financially free.
Learning at IDRISSI goes far beyond the classroom. Our students explore the wider world and apply their knowledge through hands-on experiences in our outdoor learning spaces. Eco Programme is a dedicated subject within our curriculum, while Eco Scouts runs every Friday for Year 1 to Year 3, where students take part in activities like making self-watering planters, rainwater harvesting, patch farming, recycling and more. Through these experiences, they discover firsthand how even the smallest actions can make a big impact on the environment.

As the continuity of the JASS programme, students will participate in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE), an international leading achievement award programme for students aged 14 and above. The programme is fully aligned with current educational thinking and IDRISSI’s outdoor learning strategy. It is internationally recognised and will give our students an edge over the rest in their education portfolio.

Another customised subject we include in our curriculum is Skill and Fill, where students learn traditional Turkish Archery from trainers certified by the Yunus Emre Institute (world-wide non-profit organisation by the Turkish government) and the Okçular Vakfi (Archers’ Foundation of Turkey). The traditional sport is being taught together with its underlying historical, athletic, artistic, cultural and educational values. Being focused, confident and having a good sense of coordination are some of the positive values students can benefit from the programme.
