BACK TO SCHOOL @ IDRISSI SCHOOL SETIA ALAM!

The 2025/2026 academic year began last week and we were happy to meet our precious students again! Over the holidays, IDRISSI International School Setia Alam got a little glow-up. Alhamdulillah! We hope both new and returning children can make themselves feel at home because we are always trying our best to make this space cosy and homely. Wondering what’s new this year? Keep scrolling!

“Eyes, Eyes, Eyes on Me.”

The moment you hear this catchphrase, you know you have stepped into our preschool classroom! The little ones are always cheeky, full of energy and curious about everything around them. There’s a cosy book corner for them to plop down with their favourite books (They love books with big pictures and colourful illustrations!). The sunlight streaming through the window just makes the learning ambience feel fresh and bright.

Shhh… Don’t Be Loud!

“Arrr… I’m a pirate!”

“Look at my pretty princess gown!”

“Watch out for the Tyrannosaurus!”

In our library, children don’t just read the stories, they become those characters. One moment, they place a crown on their head and bow like a princess; the next, they roar like a dinosaur from the prehistoric past. Our library has gotten a fresh new look and the shelves are filled with even more books, making it harder for them to choose which book to read!

Fun in the Sun!

The lessons at IDRISSI don't just happen in classrooms. It can take place by the pond, along the outdoor walkway, or even in the garden (yes, we have one right here in school!). Since day one, our teachers and students have been taking care of the garden and pond, and this year we are making them even better for children to enjoy more exciting lessons outdoors. Can they really learn in these spaces? Don’t call us an eco-school if they can’t! 😉 One of our favourites was when the Year 5 students solved measurement problems to crack a secret code and “escape” the garden during Math class. That’s just one lesson! Imagine all the other creative ways our teachers turn nature into a classroom!

Welcome to our Art Studio!

Not to forget, our Art Studio has also gotten an upgraded look, with better space and supplies to support our students’ creative projects. Beyond Art class, this room is also open for other subjects, such as English. Our Year 6 students once created their very own English IDs here, a fun blend of language and art! While we want the studio to feel exciting and inspiring, we also place safety at the heart of everything. So students can freely explore and experiment themselves with confidence and fun.

Wow, Look at our Courts!

The heroes behind our new futsal and netball courts? It’s none other than our dedicated ustadhs and teachers! For the futsal court, 8 of our ustadhs teamed up to transform it with fresh colours and clear markings. It took them only one day to finish it all! We were praying the sky would stay clear, and Alhamdulillah, not a drop of rain fell!

The netball court, on the other hand, took a little longer because it was more challenging. About 80% of the work was carried out by our hardworking security guard. Thank you, Uncle Om! The rest was completed by our ustadhs and teachers, with our PE (Physical Education) teachers carefully finishing the lining. After a few days of effort, the court was all ready! Now our students can look forward to more exciting PE lessons, energetic matches and lots of fun outdoors.
