We all want the best for our children; for them to ace in academics and other aspects of life. Experience is indeed the best teacher. It offers direct lessons that lead to deeper understanding and better retention than theory alone. That’s why we encourage our students to step out of their comfort zones and take part in competitions, even on a global stage. Through these experiences, they learn from mistakes, conquer their fears and add new chapters to their success stories. Even when they do not bring home a trophy, being part of the journey itself is already a win (and we are proud of their bravery!)
In the month of January, students from IDRISSI International School Setia Alam, Bukit Jelutong and Johor Bahru brought home memories and awards that made us all proud. Let’s recap their January wins!

A big round of applause for Muadh Haq (Year 1) who secured First Place in the Lower Primary Category and Unays Haq (Year 6) who achieved Third Place in the Upper Primary Category in the 7th Annual Hadith Competition, organised by Spectrum International School. Well done on these wonderful achievements!

Representing our Bukit Jelutong campus, Nurul Ryssa Sumayyah (Year 6) achieved Second Place in the Upper Primary Category 3, while Mckeen Hossameldin Farouk Kiwan (Year 3) secured Third Place in the Lower Primary Category 3 at the 7th Annual Hadith Competition by Spectrum International School. A fantastic showing by both students!

When kids wear their creative hats, they can wow us with their creativity right away! Our students once participated in the Beyond Strokes: The GAINS Gallery Art Competition at the State of Mind Exhibition where they expressed their emotions and interpretation through drawings following the theme of mental health. Aisya Rumaysaa (Year 4) has made us proud by winning the First Place! We also would like to congratulate Aydin Deniz (Year 5) for winning the Second Place and Adel Alani (Year 6) for being the Third Place winner. Well done, students!

A moment worth celebrating for our students, Saheer (Year 7) and Nayla (Year 8) who were recognised as The Remarkable Presenter Award, The Outstanding Storyteller Award and The Impressive Visual Paper Award in the International Kids Conference 2025. We also celebrate Maryam (Year 4) and Sumayyah (Year 5) for the achievement in winning The Outstanding Storyteller Award. Wonderful work by all of our students!

We also celebrate the achievement of our six students, Khaer Yusuf (Year 2), Yusuf Hamdan (Year 3), Aqilah Qalesya (Year 3), Ayaan Al Rafi (Year 3), Rayyan Hassan (Year 4) and Zayd Harith (Year 5) who represented IDRISSI and Malaysia at the Drone Robot Challenge International 2026 in Thailand. Such inspiring young innovators!
Every achievement, big or small, is a reminder of the importance of effort and consistency. We pray that our students continue to grow with excellence in all that they do.
