IDRISSI Students Triumph at Malaysia Technology Expo 2025

Double victory for IDRISSI future innovators! 7 of our Year 10 students represented IDRISSI International School and swept Gold in the Asian Youth Innovation Awards (Junior) under the Safety and Security category and Special Award from the Indonesian Invention & Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA) at the Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2025.

A Smart Solution to Enhance Baby’s Safety

Their groundbreaking project, 'Safe n Snug', is a smart baby car seat system designed to prevent the dangers of infants being accidentally left in vehicles. Leveraging advanced sensors and real-time alerts, 'Safe n Snug' provides parents and caregivers an invaluable extra layer of protection, perfectly encapsulated in its tagline: 'Ensuring Your Baby's Safety, Anytime, Anywhere.'

"We aimed to tackle a critical issue with an innovative solution, never expecting such recognition. This journey has shown us the power of teamwork and dedication. More than anything, we hope ‘Safe n Snug’ raises awareness about child safety and inspires others to develop creative solutions to real-world challenges," said Umar Al-Farouque, the group leader.

Strategic Partnership with Universiti Malaya Drives Innovation

The impactful project was brought to life through a collaboration with the Centre of Printable Electronics (CPE) and Universiti Malaya. This partnership not only provided essential technical guidance but also ignited our students' understanding of their innovation's broader real-world applications. It beautifully illustrates the transformative potential of youth-driven technological solutions in addressing critical societal needs.
