They are also given opportunities to volunteer and develop their humanitarian skills that complement their traditional learning from the various programmes we offer in our curriculum.

Apart from the core Cambridge subjects namely English, Mathematics, and Sciences, we also offer other advanced lessons ranging from social sciences, arts and technology.

FLiP
FLiP is Financial Literacy Program customised for us by leading Financial Education provider MoneyTree Asia Pacific. Unlike most Malaysian schools who offer Financial Literacy as an elective or extra coursework, we teach the subject as part of our school curriculum. Our teachers are trained and certified by MoneyTree as financial literacy educators to instil in our students good money management and understanding of the correlation between earning, budgeting, spending, saving, debt, investing, and giving.
Skill and Fill
Another customised subject we include in our curriculum is Skill and Fill, where students learn traditional Turkish Archery from trainers certified by the Yunus Emre Institute (world-wide non-profit organization by the Turkish government) and the Okçular Vakfi (Archers’ Foundation of Turkey). The traditional sports is being taught together with its underlying historical, athletic, artistic, cultural and educational values. Being focused, confident and having a good sense of coordination are some of the positive values students can benefit from the programme.
JUNIOR AWARD SCHEME FOR SCHOOLS (JASS) PROGRAMME & DUKE OF EDINBURGH’S INTERNATIONAL AWARD (DofE)
Junior Award Scheme for Schools (JASS) programme is an accredited progressive learning programme offered for students up to 14 years old to develop their wholesome individuality.
This programme offers recognition in four key areas:
- Regular physical activity
- Exploring a personal interest
- Working for the good of the community or the environment
- Completing an outdoor activity or challenge
As the continuity of JASS programme, students will participate in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) - an international leading achievement award programme for students aged 14 and above. The programme is fully aligned with current educational thinking and IDRISSI International School Johor Bahru’s outdoor learning strategy. It is internationally recognised and will give our students an edge over the rest in their education portfolio.
