SAFE SCHOOLING IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGIES
2022/2023 ACADEMIC YEAR
No matter how we have been leveraging various technologies, we believe it is not the only remedy for education in COVID-19. IDRISSI School as an institution with “BeThe Change” gumption feels the call to lay out the best possible solutions from established research and policy for immediate implementation to ensure safe reopening of the school as soon as in-person learning is allowed.
Hence, IDRISSI School’s Task Force committees have developed the IDRISSI School Implementation Strategies for Safe Schooling to enforce a safe and smooth reopening for students, parents, teachers, and staff.
Objectives:
- To systematically manage the operation of the school in maintaining a healthy and conducive environment for the students and staff during COVID-19 pandemic.
- To serve as a guideline for teachers, staff, students and parents in ensuring safe operation activities of the school.
- To ensure the roles and responsibilities of the respective stakeholders are clearly identified.

COVID-19 protocols are strictly implemented and applicable to all students, parents, staff, vendors, contractors and visitors. Extra safety measures are taken to keep the school area and buildings safe and hygienic. Please note that we will revise the protocols from time to time depending on the updates from CDC to ensure effective operations. |

Classes resume as usual with changes of model. Teachers are trained and supported to keep learning engaging while prioritising health, wellness and effectiveness at the core. As a school, we do not leave students and parents at home without any support. The school will provide the necessary in assisting children with their learning progress and challenges. |

Educators are ready to give support outside classes which includes mental health and psychosocial support. Regardless of the limitations, we are committed to put the students’ health and well-being as one of the key strategies in assisting them throughout the period. This requires two-way communication with parents for any updates or concerns. |

In order to ensure the safety of the whole community, IDRISSI School takes vaccination of our staff to the highest importance. During this period, we provide them guidelines of working from home to ensure the school runs smoothly and effectively. At school, we establish adequate protection for the school to operate without disruption once reopens. |

IDRISSI School looks forward to having the whole community play a collective role in creating a safe environment for students, teachers and staff. We have planned wide-ranging programmes that will make sure all parties are well-informed on school updates or topics regarding health and education which are important during this period. |
