How to Stop Procrastinating When It Comes to Studying for Exam

Studying for Exam

When it comes to examinations, we tend to study at the very last minute and end up unable to finish up all the chapters. How to stop this from happening? Keep on reading.

Plan your schedule

First and foremost, we often talk about organization and planning, but we never did it anyways. This is the most important key to stop procrastinating which is by planning your schedule ahead of time. Do check the academic calendar and plot the examination date on your personal calendar. By this way, you can identify when you should start doing your revision.

Sort the difficult subjects

Some subjects are easy to tackle, and some are not. Ask yourself in which subject you are weak and in which subject is your strength. Then, sort out the difficult ones and focus more on the subjects that need to put extra effort for revision. This could help ease the revision process. However, do not put too much effort on a certain subject only. Always revise all the subjects accordingly.

Do vary your studying method

Next, ask yourself what kind of studying method you are using right now. Is it working? If it is working, do stick to it. However, if it is not working out, do try out different studying methods. We have a variety of studying methods to be used. Some might prefer to watch videos while taking notes. Some might incline to reading the notes directly and some like to do more practice. Therefore, it is up to the students itself because different people should cater to their own needs and preferences.
